I use these on all of the builds that come through our shop. They mount up easy every time, and are of good quality materials and craftsmanship. Off the top of my head we have used about 7 sets so far, and have not had any trouble as of yet. Thanks for hooking us up

This is the last part that i needed for my build. I coupled this up with a stainless muffler from cone engineering. The setup looks, and sounds awesome. I didn't think I would be able to find aftermarket headers. Thanks Niche Cycle!

We have a few in stock that will fit:

We have been told several times by previous customers that the system fits the 1000, but its not a model that we have personally tested it on.
At this time, we do not have a 2 into 1 pipe for the XV1100
The only 2-into-1 exhaust system (header only) we carry for XV750 fits 1981-83 models. We do not know if it will work on the 1984.
Unfortunately, the fitment information we have is provided by the manufacturer and we don't have a 1984 model to try this exhaust on.

The manufacturer's fitment does not mention the XV1000 in fitment, but from what I've read, all of the larger XV models used the same cylinder head and frame, so this header should fit, but I cannot guarantee it. We have fit this pipe on a XV920 and the centerstand is fully functional.
The pipe does not flare at the end although it looks that way. It is a section with a 2.5 inch OD. The OD is increased to 2.5 inches where the front and rear cylinder join. Most mufflers designed to fit a 2.5" header will easily slide on. I have attached a search from our website for 2.5" mufflers.

You can likely have a baffle made to fit this, but we dont know of any product off the shelf that will be a direct fit.
For the most part these will fit 1981-1983 750 models ( we have updated fitment info, and description), but customers have reported back that they were unable to keep their center stand.
I believe the information you have is incorrect. I have installed this system on one of our demo bikes (XV920) and I know the pipe fits with the centerstand in place. This exhaust system may be challenging to install for novice mechanics. It takes a bit of patience. And that is true of the stock exhaust as well as this aftermarket pipe. That is because of the Yamaha design and where the rear header pipe joins the front pipe. We have had one or two reports of the exhaust not fitting with the centerstand, but we cannot be sure of the mechanical competence of the individual installing the pipe. On the other hand, we have sold quite a few of these systems to happy customers, so the problem is probably more with the installation rather than the pipe.
The outlet OD of the header is 2-7/16 inches (just under 2.5 inches. It is designed to be compatible with any muffler of 2.5" inlet size. One good choice is our MC-2500-12-SS. This is a 12" stainless, reverse cone muffler. Another choice might be a 16" SuperTrapp muffler (425-25160). We have many mufflers in this size range. If you search "2.5" muffler" on our website, you see many different choices for mufflers that will work with this header.
We should have those in about 10 days.
