Details
Brand new carburetor kit consisting of genuine left and right Mikuni 34mm carburetors, pre-jetted with proven specs utilizing genuine Mikuni components.
- Pre-jetted carbs for stock to mildly modified engines. Left and Right side carburetors.
- CNC machined bolt on flange adapters with perfectly mated rubber connectors and clamps
- Stainless steel flange adapter allen bolts
- 1-2 cable for use with the factory throttle assembly and some aftermarket units - 42" case length
- Washable, oiled red element air filters. Very high quality - Made in the USA
- Additional jetting included. 4 Sizes of mains, and 2 sizes of pilots
- Flange adapter gaskets (not shown)
We don't just swap out the main and pilots. Slide, needle jet, needle, main, and pilots have all been chosen for the best possible combination on the majority of bikes. Because each bike is different, and because these are shipped all over the world, we cannot guarantee out of the box compatibility. Climate, altitude, and engine setup all play into the fuel requirements that must be met. We include the additional mains and pilots for such occasions.
Note: This kit does not have a provision for providing vacuum for the vacuum-operated petcock. The stock petcock can be replaced with a petcock not requiring vacuum. Some Yamaha vacuum operated petcocks have a position where the fuel will flow without vacuum. If your bike has this, the original petcock can be used, but this will bypass the reserve function of the petcock. It is also possible to tap a vacuum line into the manifold.

I just wanted to drop a note saying how impressed I am with my Mikuni carbs that I purchased from you. I bolted them on and only made minor adjustments to the air mixture and idle, and my xs650 is running better than ever! The 2 into 1 throttle cable is great too. So easy to install. Thanks guys for a great product!

This kit will be going on my stock 1983 xs650s, do I need to change my vacuum petcock?
Our XS650 kit makes no provisions for a vacuum petcock, so it would be a good idea to change your petcock. If I remember correctly, the XS650 has a bypass on the stock petcock that allows fuel flow, whether or not there is vacuum. If the XS petcock has that function, you could always use that. But if you do, you would lose the reserve function on the petcock.

This comes fully assembled?
The carburetors come pre-jetted for most applications and the throttle cable is fully assembled.
