Glad I went with the 28mm kit!! 5 Stars
By Joey Cash on 11/19/2015
A few friends of mine have the 30mm kit from Niche Cycle on their bikes, and it made me realize a Mikuni kit is a must for these bikes. The stock carbs are garbage, and I was tired of messing with them. I did not realize a 28mm kit was available until I went to order the 30mm setup. It struck me by surprise that a smaller carb was offered, and I really didn't understand why. I have to say that the 28s are much better for my application. My bike is pretty much stock, as are my friends running the Miks, but I feel that the smaller carb setup is better for normal street use. I have better low end power, and throttle response, which is all that really matters to me where I live.
If your engine is pretty much stock, with the exception of maybe an exhaust system, I highly recommend the 28mm carbs. This is coming from someone that has had the opportunity to see both work side by side. I think the 30s will open up potential for the bike if further mods are being done to the engine, but if you plan to keep it simple, go with the 28s. Better low end, better throttle response, and plenty of power up top.
Thanks guys! I will be spreading the word about your company and your products.
