I d like to know if for sku vm24/557 the needle is always the same or if the size depends upon the seat diameter.

Franck Gierlasinski.The VM24/557 is available in 3 sizes. 1.5-2.5. The size relates to the diameter of the hole in the seat. The smallest hole is for use with a fuel pump. The middle, and large holes are for gravity feed. Depending on your setup, too small of a hole could restrict fuel flow to the carb bowl, causing starvation issues. Too large of a hole could cause the carb to overflow.
