Do I need cylinder boring only, or sleeves required? Will this fit to 1998 CBR900 engine? Engines 1992-1999 was almost same.
Yes, both of these pistons will fit a 1998 engine, but the specifications slightly differ. When the 157587 is used on the later year engines, instead of +4mm, it is +3mm. 1996-1998 had a stock bore size of 71mm. 1992-1995 had a stock bore size of 70mm. You should be able to bore the cylinder that you have, instead of buying a new sleeve, but this is something you should check with your engine builder.
