Is the exhaust exit on the right side? How high is the exit from center line of the rear axle?
This exhaust exits to the right side of the bike. The manufacturer could not give the exact height of the exit from the center line (they don't currently have a BMW to fit it back onto to measure this), but they told me the muffler bolts to the same 2-hole bracket BMW uses on the rear lower frame member to mount the stock muffler. Because of the type of bracket used by MAC, this muffler should sit slightly higher than the stock muffler.

I'm interested in your BMW R Models 1970-1984 2-1 Competition Exhaust System, but for a regular use. Do you think It's too noisy for being used everyday?
Determining the noise level of a motorcycle exhaust (to the ear - not by an instrument measuring dB levels) is very subjective. What's loud to one person, may not be to another. That being said, this is a competition exhaust, so it will be louder than what you hear on most street bikes. It is designed with very little restriction to provide the most power. However, you could always baffle the exhaust if you found it too loud.
