will the emgo #17-055rw 405 mm fit my 1980 Honda xl 250 s.
With all the included grommet sizes, these shocks would undoubtedly bolt up to your Honda XL250S but they would probably be too short. This bike was delivered to dealers with a very long set of stock shocks.
I suggest you measure your shocks eye to eye, that is from the center of the bolts that mount to the frame and rear swing arm. Once you do this, compare your shock length to the length of these shocks - the longest version being just under 16" long. My guess would be your original shocks are at least 18-20 inches long.
A difference of an inch or so probably wouldn't hurt anything, but if you start going much shorter than that, you may find you will have issues with the rear wheel making contact with the fender.Answer by: rick c (Admin) on Feb 6, 2019 12:30:00 PM
