  I believe the correct replacement for the BST40 is the N189.192, which can be found at the link below.   Do you mean VM24-512? In either case, this plunger will not work. This is for the larger pumper carbs.

• I'm running a pair of VM38 on a bmw r100 and I believe I need to replace the choke plungers, right cylinder plug black & sooty. I have cable plungers but my plunger does not have the pin on the bottom as this page shows. Will this plunger work? Or can you direct me to the correct plunger.

  You would need sku: VM15SC4/85, but we have been sold out of those for a while. Please search our site with that sku to see actual photos of the part. Hopefully we receive more soon, but Mikuni has been backed up, so it could be a while.

• What is the main body OD and over all length?

  The OD of the main body is approximately 8mm and overall length (including pin) is 22mm.
